Live More

Today we’re surrounded by modern high-tech comforts and endless entertainment, but are we really living?!

Offering personal training in Eugene, Oregon allows me to help people live, more! Today we’re surrounded by modern high-tech comforts and endless entertainment, but are we really living?! I’ve been on both spectrums, spending way too much time on the internet and also packing my days so full of physical adventure that each day feels like a week. We can’t have the “highlight reel” life all the time, but we can do things regularly to extend our lifespan, quality of life, and enjoy the time we have here on earth. Here are my top four tips to live better:

1. Pick up an active hobby, be it a sport, martial art, surfing, hunting, fishing, golfing, hiking, skiing, something to get your blood pumping and make epic memories! For me it was learning how to hunt this year, which has improved my WHOOP heart rate and recovery scores, giving me more energy!

2. Get in three 45-minute zone 2 cardio sessions a week. Zone 2 cardio is light cardio where you can still talk, but are breathing heavy. This will supercharge your energy by making your heart stronger. With this newfound energy, you’ll have more passion to do more and be more!

3. Prioritize sleep by having a bedtime routine and waking up at roughly the same time each day. Your body runs on routine and usually does better when it has a regular sleep schedule. This will allow you to be more active because your body will be recovering while you sleep.

4. Eat foods that fill you with life force energy! This will be different for everyone, because everyone has different gut biomes and digestive acid profiles. I like to eat by intuition instead of dogma. (And there's plenty of great ways to eat local in Eugene, Oregon!)

Bonus tip: Spend more time with your family, friends, and those you love! Make kind connections with strangers and be social.

The list could be endless as there are so many great ways to maximize your time in Eugene and beyond! Let me know in the comments what you think, and as always contact me with any of your fitness related questions and I’m happy to help!
